DISCUSS YOUR FANDOM AT SHENANICON!

Panels are a great opportunity for everyone to share in your favorite field of interest or part of the fandom. From history panels and game shows, to discussions and insanity, there is a spot for your favorite presentation. Shenanicon is a great place to showcase your stuff – whether it be your love for a certain anime, tips and tricks for a video game, or testing other fans trivia knowledge.

Shenanicon is looking for great panels to showcase throughout the weekend. All kinds of panels are welcome, but if you have a panel idea that is too crazy, strange, or out there to have tried it at another convention… well you have found the place. Our goals is to have a crazy panel lineup that is sure to engage attendees throughout the convention weekend.

Panel applications will be open from Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 until Friday, March 29th, 2024. Panel notifications will be sent out prior to Friday, April 19th, 2024. Accepted panelists will need to purchase a convention badge to be officially accepted; the registration link will be sent to panelists prior to registration opening to the public. Up to 2 panelist per panel will have their registration reimbursed after the convention.

Prior to applying, please make sure to read the following policies:

• Panel performance at-con will be contingent upon completing a pre-registration to Shenanicon, to be completed within two weeks of receipt of registration information. Panelists do not need to register prior to submitting an application.
• There are 60 and 90 minute time slots available for panels. Setup and breakdown time is included in this.
• A panel can have as many panelists as needed, but please keep it reasonable and understand that we will only reimburse at most 2 panelists per panel. Reimbursements are contingent on completion of accepted panel and all rules/policies being followed; Shenanicon reserves the right to deny a reimbursement to a panelist.
  
• Panelists must all be 21 years of age or older at the time of the convention. No exceptions.
• Hate speech, including ethnic slurs, racial slurs, religious slurs, sexual bias, homophobia, transphobia, etc will not be tolerated at Shenanicon. If a panel is found to contain such content, then Shenanicon reserves the right to shut down the panel. Please be professional, courteous, and welcoming.
• Submission of a Panels Application is a proposal. Shenanicon reserves the right to not choose your panel for the convention.

Please complete the below application to the best of your ability and as complete as possible. This application, and the contents held within, shall be used by our Panels Review Team to select the panels for Shenanicon. Please ensure that you read all policies and information ahead of applying, as submitting an application binds you to these policies, if accepted.

Please submit a separate application for each panel that you are interested in submitting.

Do note – this is not a first-come, first-accepted system. We will review all applications equally and fairly once applications have closed and will select from the list of applications for the schedule. Please try to be as clear as possible with your application and what your panel entails to allow for the easiest of review of your submission.
